Oops! Literally. This post was supposed to go up on Monday, but then life got in the way, as it's often want to do. But isn't that usually the case, that when you least expect it, a million things are tossed your way?
When they start to pile up - school, health, work, finances, household responsibilities - I initially feel overwhelmed, totally unable to deal with the mounting responsibilities. So, it's been my personal goal to react not with fear or stress, two feelings that always cause me to jump headfirst (without pause) into the first thing I think I can handle. Instead, I've aimed to pause before acting. Yet, this pausing is so antithetical to my mode of life, because I want to solve/fix/handle everything immediately, even though, in my experience, this causes more harm and more stress.
But, when I pause, I remember that I'm never given more than I can handle, that I'm never given something that's not good for me (in the long run), that I'm going to be okay. This week, with a little less reluctance than normal, I prioritized, saving some super fun, exciting things for you all till next week.
